Christmas Events

We had a good Christmas program with children. Since chickens and dogs were running around us, it was a perfect fit for the "Jesus in the Manger" scene. Children enjoyed their play and gifts. Above all, many began to understand about Jesus' birth. [gallery] [gallery] MVI_2743

ABC Children’s Ministry
Friday, November 18th, 2011, No Comments »

Hello friends - We've started a children's ministry (ABC). We'd like to share a little bit about  it with you.
The Kids
They range from 6 yrs to 15 yrs old. All of the children come from Hindu or animistic background . Most of the children live in deep poverty.
Some kids even work in houses as maids (in India, we do not have washing machines, dishwasher, etc). The more homes they clean the better the chance the home owner will give them food leftovers they can take home.
ABC Bible Club
We teach them gospel songs, memory verse, a bible story with flash cards, a craft work to take with them. They love the craft time as many of them have never had the chance to play with colors. The kids are excited and glad they can participate in the program.

Biggest challenges to ministry
People here do not have a concept of sin, wrong doing. In fact it is hard to find a suitable word for repentance, guilt. Hence it affects the children too. Also they have never heard anything about the gospel or christian truths and values.
Specific prayer Request
That these children's heart's will be opened and they will grasp the truth of the gospel at this young age.
That churches and individuals will partner with us and the ABC program. We need funding (4000 a year).
Soon we will be sharing our child sponsorship program with you! Be praying about whether or not you would want to sponsor the children and this meaningful, Christ sharing program.
We'll be in touch!
Keep us in your prayers.

Our Work in India
Monday, August 8th, 2011, No Comments »

Last year, by this time, we have been visiting with you and sharing our vision and ministry in India. Now, we have moved to then northern part of India to work toward the vision that God has given to us. We are teaching in Bible college every Monday. Now I teach Systematic Theology 3  and Maria teaches Systematic Theology 1 and we do enjoy teaching the students.

I am able to preach every Sunday at one growing congregation. It has only 8-15 people, that gathers in a school and I am preaching there. Soon we hope to start our own group of believers in the area where we live. Every Thursday, I am teaching in a Bible Study, where 15-25 enthusiastic people attends this event. Maria is conducting women's Bible Study in a hut and does Alive Bible Clubs for children. The challenge for our work is numerous. Recently, the residents of the house,  where we conduct Bible Clubs for children, were warned not  to have Bible Clubs in their house. Still we are facing language problem. Though we are from India, we speak another language. We are learning so that we can fluently communicate in Hindi. For now , we need someone to translate when we preach and teach. However, we are propelling our ministry through His grace and thank you for keeping us before the throne of Grace. Thank you for praying, supporting and  participating in our work in India.

Sound Doctrine for Grassroot pastors
Saturday, June 11th, 2011, No Comments »

“It is an eye opening seminar,” said one pastor. “Well, I have attended few seminars, but this is really different because I have not only learned about the doctrine but also how to apply in my life.” Those are the testimonies that we received from the pastors after the seminar. Our goal for the conference was to educate the rural pastors about the doctrine of Trinity. So we had invited 50 rural pastors from different regions of North India. Most of these pastors have not been to seminary and some have not even entered Bible colleges. Yet, they do wonderful service for the Lord. They work among the poor and in persecuted regions. Their testimonies reflect how much they appreciated this good Bible teaching. Most of these pastors are looking for a way to educate themselves through various means. Though, there are Bible colleges, seminaries and correspondence courses in India, many of these pastors do not pursue theological education because of their workload and other practical reasons. However, they are willing to take a break for two or three days to come for a seminar in order to learn. We greatly appreciate, Dr. Ryrie for his lavish contribution that enabled us to freely distribute the Ryrie Study Bible and Basic Theology book in Hindi. We also greatly acknowledge Dr. Scott Horrell, professor at Dallas theological Seminary, and his team for their contribution and their efforts for this conference. If you are gifted in teaching theological truths to passionate pastors, you are welcome to visit us.
